Our users can make and receive calls using any VoIP provider*. Since flashphone uses HTTP for data transfer, you won't have any problems with firewalls or NAT. Flashphone users can make and receive calls in any place around the world using any computer or even a PDA (communicator), the only thing that is needed is access to the Internet. For example, you can go to the internet cafe in a foreign country and make a call to your relatives minimizing your costs!
To start using the advantages of flashphone and VoIP you have to follow the next steps: Use our demo Account Manager:
Step 1. Request a demo account (info @ saloob.jp) - we are NOT a service provider - we are a software/solution provider.
You will become a flashphone user after a simple registration procedure. Use your login and password for authorization after you've been registered.
Step 2. Use the convenient web interface to setup your SIP account.
You need to use Account Manager to edit your Profile data or to edit your VoIP accounts. Secure connection (SSL) can be used when you work with your private data.
In the Profile section you can change information that you've mistyped while registration procedure, like age or country (for example).
In the VoIP Accounts section you can configure flashphone to use your SIP accounts at different providers. It lets you to make calls to any destinations supported by your provider and these calls aren't limited by duration and count** To use flashphone with your SIP account, you need to specify following settings:
* Name – name of account inside flashphone (can be set arbitrary)
* Prefixes – comma separated list of prefixes for destinations that you want to call via this account. If you leave this field blank, calls to all destinations will be available via this account. For example, to call USA and Russia, you should specify following prefixes: 7,1
* Appended prefix – value that will be appended at the beginning of the dialed number. For example, if you want to call American numbers, but don't want to enter country and city code, you can set this value to 7495. But remember that this prefix is appended to any number when you call via this account. So calls to other destinations will be unavailable.
* SIP Proxy – address or domain name of your provider's SIP proxy, e.g. sip-proxy.com. Also port number can be specified, if your provider uses port different to default 5060, e.g. sip proxy.com:5070.
* Username – user name, that is used to authorize at provider's proxy.
* Password – your provider's account password.
* Registration – if this option is selected, you will be able to receive incoming calls from this SIP provider, if it supports this feature.
The order of accounts is set by priority. Account with minimal priority value will be processed first.
Step 3. Pass the flashphone's authorization procedure to make and to receive your calls
Enter to the flashphone using your auth data and start using the advantages of the VoIP technology.
